Renaming "Custom" Fields Question
« on: November 18, 2002, 05:45:03 am »

I've renamed my (3) "Custom" fields thru Settings/Options/Tree&View Settings.  They appeared with their new names in the "Content View".

When I went to "Add New View Scheme" and began adding components utilizing these "Custom" fields, I found that my choices were only "Custom 1/2/3 and not the new names I had created.  Consequently my new "View Schemes" show these titles instead of my renamed ones.

Is this a function of MJ (8.0.388) or have I done something wrong?

Your comments are greatly appreciated.

Edit View ... uncheck the "autoname" box ... type in whatever name you wish to appear in the tree (if you hadn't already thought of this ;)).

It's my newly created "view schemes" under "Media Library" that don't reflect my renaming of "custom 1/2/3" though my renames showup in "content view".

Thanks though.

My apologies "KellerDH", I see what you're saying.  It worked.

Thanks again.

You are lucky, I cannot rename my custom fields:

Configure Database Field

Name: Custom 1   I cannot change it, it is greyed
Display: I set Source instead of Custom 1

No change in Content View windows except that all columns are displayed now !

Michel, that's a known bug in MJ 9.  It does not affect MJ 8 users.

It will be fixed soon.
