creating \[artist]\ folders when syncing
« on: May 10, 2004, 03:10:49 am »

hi all ...

i have an archos jukebox recorder 20 ... its a hdd based player .. quite old ..

i have all my music stored like this : \music\[artist]\[name] - [artist].mp3 ... infact all my music on the comp is like this ...

to sync with the archos i used softwares like beyond compare and absync ... its only now that i've started using mc10 ... so im new to this ..

i was wondering how to keep my original folder structure and not copy individual files into one folder ...  ?

incase u want to know my archos is loaded with rockbox (open source os for it) .... it plays videos .. talks its menus out to you .. and u can even play games !!!

kranium256,

Right click on your drive letter in MC and you will see options for creating folder structures based on tag information. I think this is what you are looking for.  There is also an option for creating a root directory such as 'music' which should help you out.
