Just re-formatted hard drive
« on: May 08, 2004, 11:53:17 am »

I need advice on how to get back up and running on MC9.  After I download the latest version, how do I tell Media Center where my old settings, playlists, etc are?  I saved all the folders and files of MC9 on a backup disk.

I realize I will have to re-import my MP3's using Library.

If you did a Library Backup, you could restore your library as long as the files are in the same place on disk (or even if they're not, you could use the search/replace function to replace the old location with the new location in the tags).

If you have no library backup, I think it's just as quick to re-import, although of course you lose your playlists etc doing this.

As far as I know, the playlists etc get saved in the library backup.
