  I just lost 640 Mb of downloaded data  ?

Is there someone who can tell me what is wrong with my download ?
I tried to download an *.iso file, 713 Mb. (linux-cd)
It's the third time that my connection failed and I tried to resume this download. But it only resumes one time, and then it failes and I have to retry. Starting by zero  
Does anyone have a solution, I still have a *.tmp file of 640 Mb on my drive, but it has to be resumed to 713 Mb.
I'm desperate. Other download managers don't even work with the mentioned file (on www.knoppix.com)
Please help, it'll be greatly appreciated

in download manager settings make sure you uncheck

[_] Always Replace Existing
