I have a ProntoNG (TSU3000). Unfortunately, when I try to import the provided Pronto CCF into the ProntoNG, I notice several problems.
1. The IR codes in the PCF file do not match those in Grider's GML file. I have a USB_UIRT, so I'm using the UIRT version of the GML file.
2. The IR codes change during the import process. I'm told that this is normal, and it should cause a problem. However, it leaves me a little uneasy.
3. When I tried to learn the commands in Girder, Girder sees a lot of the commands as the same code.
I can deal with 1 and 2, but 3 is a show stopper. Here is an example.
IR Code for Play/Pause in CCF:
0000 006d 0022 0000 0152 00a9 0013 0013 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0013 0013 0039 0013 0013 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0039 0013 05f0
IR Code for Play/Pause in PCF (after import):
0000 006D 0022 0000 0155 00A9 0013 0013 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0013 0013 0039 0013 0013 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0039 0013 00A9
As you can see, the 5th and last words are different.
IR Code for FF in PCF:
0000 006D 0022 0000 0155 00A9 0013 0013 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0039 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0039 0013 00A9
This looks different enough, but when you add it to Girder you get:
Girder Play/Pause code: 430A004010F4
Girder FF code: 430A004010F4
As you can see, they are the same. As a result, Girder doesn't recognize the difference. The thing that's strange is the code doesn't look long enough. The IR codes in the Pronto don't start getting different until beyond the F4 word.
Anyone know what might be going on? Has anyone got a ProntoNG to work? Is there a setting I'm missing (max IR code length)?
I use my Pronto and Girder for several other apps without a problem.
Help! My HTPC is pretty useless to me if I can't use a remote.
