Importing small audio-files
« on: May 18, 2004, 12:54:00 pm »

When importing files, one can tag/untag "Don't import small files, audio 10sec)
I untag that, nonetheless an "Applause" file of 16 sec is not imported, tfore the
tracknumbering may not be entirely correct.
MC 10.0.136

Is this a bug?

There may be something special (or bad) about that one file.

Try some other files and see what happens.

Thanks.

Coincidentally I have 2 CD's with 3 tracks of short 'applause', 16sec, 17sec and 9 sec.
None of the tracks are imported.

I've just had a search through my sfx - nothing with a filename beginning "applause".  I managed to import a wav called "applause", but 2 mp3s, "applause - 01 -  Start.mp3" & "applause - 02 -  Drums Start.mp3" failed.  I changed applause to clapping and they were OK!!

I guess it may not have something to do with the title, but rather with
the length of the track. Maybe MC is skipping everything below say 20 seconds? I don't know. Fact is: I have 3 tracks titled Applause and they are not imported. Well, anyway ...

The mp3s imported ok once I changed the filename, and that was the only thing I changed.  I've also got shed loads of other files in sizes ranging from <1 sec up.

Thanks. I'll try to remember the next time. These were applause.wav's.
One way or the other I cannot reproduce the error anymore: the applause.wav-s are gone from my HD but they are not in MC either, after I moved the .wav-s from a temp-dir to the MC-library-dir.
Thanks again.
