Rio 500 : when the lights go out...
« on: November 01, 2002, 11:39:20 am »

Hay,
If the Rio runs into low battary during upload, It flashs Low Battary on the screen and media jukebox disappears.

Help,

Compgeeks are now offering the rio 600 for 39$ + s/h. How good is the 600?

Niv,

I tried to duplicate this by starting an upload and then disconnecting the player. When I do this, the Rio does disappear, but if I reconnect and then collapse and expand the tree, everything is back to normal. If the Rio disconnects because of a low battery, there is not much the Plug-in can do once the Rio becomes inactive.

In regards to the Rio 600, its OK. $39 is a good price considering how much they used to be.

Steve,

Please try the scenario as described. Use the player with a pair of rechargeable batteries the are close to becoming empty (one out of three boxes in the Rio display).

You will see a flashing "Low Battery " and then MJ disappears.

Good luck with ver 9
