Media Center Crashed
« on: May 27, 2004, 08:42:32 pm »

Have latest Media Center. Been working fine for 2 weeks. Crashed while listening to mp3. No error message system just froze. When I rebooted Media Center will not come back up. Icon flashs briefly then nothing.
Windows XP Pro, AMD 1800+, 1024 PC2100, 80 Gig HD, SB Audigy Z Gamer, ATI 9600 XT, all latest drivers.
Normally if I click on a music file Media Center automaticaly starts, now nothing happens.

Uninstall, reboot and reinstall.

If you can narrow it down to a specific file that's causing this JRiver will probably want you to email it to them.

I reloaded twice, first ime kept library, didn't work; 2nd time uninstalled everything. I listen to MC while downloading files from newsgroups; did it again. Error message on reboot was curplaylist.jmd and mediafiles.jmd crosslinked. On reboot had to reload media library again. I was listening to a John Coltrane mp3 this time, I do not believe this was the same as before.
