Finding server

I have all my albums situated on a server.
My desktop pc sometimes finds the library other times i get an error, after i search for media server.
 errror message says failed to connect to a server
reason unknown
URL:http://192.168.0.44:80/get lbrary.


network path is fine as i can operate my server remotely

Are you sure that the Media Server is always running on the server machine?

(I have mine set so it starts when Windows starts). Look under SETTINGS / OPTIONS on the Media Server window.

Also, the client and server end MUST be running the same version of MC (according to JRiver).

I think this is slightly inaccurate, as I have found it will run with slightly different versions, but if you ever have problem, they always want to make sure the version is the same at both ends to rule out conflicts etc.
