Some Suggestions n Some Requests
« on: November 13, 2002, 01:26:54 am »

Halo,

 I am a first time user, however I have used realone, musicmatch, winamp and etc. I read from the CNET review that the forum is very effective. That's why i give it a try !

 Ok, there are really some requests.
 1) More plugins
 2) More presentable display plugins

 Suggestions.
 1) Support viewing of WMA album art in the track info
 2) When the file is Avi,Mpg or other video file, store it under a special folder call "video collections"
 3) Seperate Album and Artists, dun use Artist/Album
 4) Auto-DJ
 5) Faciliate the process "library - > playlist"
 6) Plugin hosted on the site can be "fully" downloaded and not simply have to re-download again from the server.
 7) Common-Platform with WinAmp's AVS/Plugins  :-X

As for the rest, it is a VERY NEAT JOB !!!  :)

2) When the file is Avi,Mpg or other video file, store it under a special folder call "video collections"

I do this by having one view scheme called
Music (Album/Artist)
with search criterion
type=[mp3] OR custom1=audio
and another called
Video (Genre/Artist)
with search criterion
type=[avi],[mpg],[rm],[ram],[wmv],[mov] OR custom1=video

The custom1 is to allow for files like .asf which could be audio or video.

3) Seperate Album and Artists, dun use Artist/Album

You're free to customise this. Create one view scheme which is just Album and another which is just Artist

5) Faciliate the process "library - > playlist"

An ideas how to facilitate this. There are already about 10 ways to do it including:
Right click->Send to->Playlist
Drop target
Drag and drop directly to playlist
Right click->File properties->Playlists
Smartlists for rule based playlists
