default ripping format...... AAC?
« on: June 21, 2004, 06:30:20 pm »

I'm pretty new to all this, but what would I need in order to save ripped Cd's in the aac format?  Can MC10 use the encoder in Nero 6 Ultra? If so, what parameters should be included in the external encoder info dialog box? For that matter, what would the EXE path be?

Or if there is a better way to save files for easy use with an Ipod, I would appreciate hearing about it

Thanks,
Christina

I made a guide on how to use Nero for encoding aac a while back. Do a search.

However, I wouldn't recommend aac encoding 'cause it isn't nativly supported by MC, and therefore it's slower. I don't think MC will que to wave files ripped from the CD, so it'll take much longer.

But try it out.

If you're worried about quality, I'd recommend using lossless compression. (Monkey's Audio / WMA Lossless)
