Removing tracks
« on: November 11, 2002, 11:58:43 pm »

Is there any way to delete a song from the database (and also from the hard disk) from within a playlist or the "playing now" list? The current option is just deleting the song from the relative playlist but does not have the capability to remove completely the song from MJ.

Sometimes this feature would be interesting. For instance, I import the songs to the database and then put them to the "playing now" list to listen to them. When it cames that I do not like any of the songs and want to remove it, what I do now is to select the song on the "playing now" list, right click on it, go to "locate song" -> "album, artist", then select the song and remove it from there.

It would be easier to gain access to this feature just by right clicking the song in the playlist (or playing now list) if an option to remove the song from MJ were present in the context menu.

Sorry for my english... hope my question is clear.

Yup.
This is do-able.....
select the entries you want to remove, hold down shift+delete, then in the dialogue that pops up, place a tick in the box to remove files from the hard drive also.
Job Done.
