Is there any possibility of fixing the problem with playing WMA streams.  This popped up quite a while ago, and has been reported numerous times over the past months.  One of the MC updates suddenely started having problems with WMA streams one day and it's been a problem ever since.  I should note that I have one system that can sometimes play some of these streams, but they take an annoyingly long time to finally start compared to the mp3 steams which start right up.  The other two systems I tried cannot play these WMA streams at all.

This problem eliminates a VERY large portion of the streaming radio stations -- I can't get any of the "Radio Free Virgin" sites to play on this system anymore (the blues stations never seem to work).

Somebody from JRiver recently posted that only "big and bad" bug fixes would be addressed on MC10 at this point.  To me (and I'm sure to others who would like to use the Web Radion capability of MC) this is definitely a big and bad bug.  Is there any chance of looking in to this?

I can't give any urls off hand, but just do a search for "Blues" and try any of the "Radio Free Virgin..." sites.  None of these are working for me -- it just says "buffering" forever.  I have had similar issues with "Radio Free Virgin..." sites in other genres as well.

Forgive me, but I'm not sure what you mean by that.  Are you saying that you don't know what's causing the problem, or that you're not following what I posted last time?  Assuming I wasn't clear in my last post, I was simply saying to go to the "Web Media" page (in the "Audio" section of the tree), select "blues" in the genre window, then hit "search."  This will result in a list of stations, many of which start with "Radio Free Virgin..."  None of these are working -- they just keep saying "buffering."

I'm not sure how to describe it any better.  Did you do the search on the MC Web Media page as I described?  "Radio Free Virgin" is in the title of many (most) of the sites that come up when you do the search for stations in the "blues" genre.

I have no idea what the addresses for these sites are, but if you simply go to the Web Media screen and do the search, you'll see dozens of these sites, which use WMA streaming and don't work in MC for me.

I tried a "Radio Free Virgin" site on that web page you linked, (the one in the "Blues" section) and it opened fine in Windows Media Player.  I then copied the address to the "Open URL" window of MC and it wouldn't open.  This seems to be an issue with MC and certain types of streams.

Just to clarify, when you say "They don't seem to work here either," you're saying you're having the same problem with MC as I am, right?

PS.  Do you have a site like the one you linked, but for mp3 streams rather than asx (MC seems to like mp3 streams a lot better)?  The list in MC seems outdated.

no when you click on a link, it loads a page that loads other info etc..

if you take a link and save it, you can then view the orginal data on the link.

All I know is that with at least that one station I mentioned, the same site that works in Windows Media Player does not work in MC.  This would tend point to some sort of compatibility issue with this site and MC.
