WIth v. 9 I did not have this problem . . .

When I designate the path to my digicam, MC "finds" the files, BUT WONT DISPLAY THUMBNAILS (thumbnails is the designated view type).

Win explorer displays them, v. 9 displayed them, what can I do to get v. 10 to do the same?

This feature's on the wish list for image handling improvements, so I assume it's not possible.

Just so I'm clear . . .

With v. 9, I could navigate to my attched camera by designating the disk location and view the thumbs and import these files.  v. 10 does not support viewing and importing .jpgs in this manner?

Correct - the camera doesn't even appear under drives and devices.

The camera is deginated on my computer as drive "K:" in MC (and Windows explorer).  I can navigate the directories in MC.  However, when I highlight the directory containing the jpeg files, I only get icons on the right, not actual thumbnails.  This was not the case 2 weeks ago with v. 9 -- when I highlighted the K:/[directory with jpgs], the thumbs came up in MC.  

Exact same problem occurs when I use MC Tools > Import Files > K:/[directory with jpgs] -- no thumbs, only blank icons.

B/c of this, I have to copy the files from K:/ to C:/[wherever], the MC import from C:/[wherever].  This extra step is new to v. 10 (and it's the only way to view thumbs/work with images).

What am I missing?

You guys have a great trust to electronics.

When I am back at my computer with new pictures the first thing to do is copy them directly to computer before anything else. And if I have to erase the memory card I also make a backup of the pictures on the hard drive first. Only after that I dare to browse them and go on. It's also faster to browse pictures if they are on a hard drive.
