4th Gen iPod and Media Center 9.1
« on: July 26, 2004, 09:48:17 pm »

Hi guys,
I'm waiting for my 4th Gen iPod to be shipped - it's my first iPod.

Will it work OK with MC 9.1? Is anyone using this configuration?

Also, has the iPod plugin been fixed or updated since 9.1 - ie. in MC 10? Can I dl updates to it?

Thanks
-Matt

Matt,

iPod should work with MC 9.1 but MC 10 would be strongly recommended because of many improvements and fixes.  The support for iPod is built into both products.

Hi Steve,

I'm quite happy with 9.1, so are there there any 'improvements and fixes' that apply to the iPod in particular?

Matt,

The whole method of synchronization with the iPod is modified/improved. There were many bug fixes. If you are happy with 9.1, when you get your iPod test it out and if it works well enough for you you are all set. You could also install MC 10 to see the changes and then decide.
