OT - Animated Avitars - Ok or not Ok
« on: July 22, 2004, 11:08:19 am »

While looking for some nice ones, I noticed that there were alot of boards that don't allow them - something to do with loading times.   Are they a problem, should I change to a still pic  :-\  or can they be made smaller somehow  so they load faster?

Thank God for Privoxy.  People can have all the animated GIFs and avatars they want and I don't have to see them.  This way both parties win.

;D  Yup, freedom of expression  and freedom to ignore it.  Ain't it grand?   " The Psychology of Avatars and Graphical Space
in Multimedia Chat Communities"  by John Suler, PhD, Rider University, is a good read.   ;D
