No.... It's the V11 that they are changing to reflect side by side.

No -- it's too soon to say if this will happen or not.

However, it's probably safe to depend on MC 11 now.

Ok, thanks for the info.

The reason I asked is because I got into the habit of using the Alarm Clock plugin instead of my regular alarm clock.  I'd like to keep using MC to wake me up, but 11 doesn't yet support the plugins.

Does this build address the iPod/Audible issue discussed in this thread:  http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?board=8;action=display;threadid=22304?

This issue popped up with version 148 -- in a nutshell, Audible files no longer work on an iPod when a sync is done after these files are already on the iPod.

Thanks,

Larry

Thanks.

It'll be fixed in the next builds of MC 10 and MC 11.

Good as your word for MC11. Will this make it into MC10?

It might already be there. (I can't remember for sure)

If not, let us know and we'll make sure it gets in.

Still seeing negative numbers for last played on ipod.

When viewing the contents of the ipod iteself (not tried synching), the last played dates for my recently played songs show -5****** and then songs that havent been played show from 4-30 years ago.

This happens whether i set the time zone on the ipod to Tokyo or Tokyo DST.
(However, if i switch between these time zones the last played dates do seem to change. In Tokyo time zone some of my files show as never played, but in Tokyo DST all of the files appear to have been played within the last 36 years. Pretty good going considering I'm 25)

I just tested this, and this version does NOT fix this issue -- a sync will prevent any audible files that are already on the iPod from playing.  If you're using an iPod with audible files, stick with version 147 or earlier.

Hard crash when browsing My Computer tree
« Reply #13 on: July 13, 2004, 11:43:03 am »

I'm getting a Media Core crash on build 10.1.148 onwards, including 10.1.150.

Basically, I browse the My Computer tree through My Documents, select a folder, then select the Recursive (No Data Files) view. I get the message about gathering files & updating views, then a Media Core crash.

When I look at the details for the error report, the module is ntdll.dll that is crashing.

In Find CD under Playing Now, the Best Buy, Barnes & Noble, CDNow, and AB-CD searches don't work.

Thanks!

When selecting TV Tuner the composite and S-Video are reversed.
It would be nice to have a TV Tuner selection in the Action Window.

When playing a DVD movie, if I change from full screen to windowed view, or vice versa, it jumps back to the dvd menu, and wants to start the movie again.

Matt,

Has the problem with lossless WMA been fixed in this build.

I read in another post if you rip to wav then convert to lossless wma then convert back to wav the filesize of the new wav did not match the size of the original.

Think it said it would be fixed in the 150 build but see no mention of it under the history.

Wasn't really a problem with MC....

Update on the WMA decoding issue:

Up to a millisecond can get chopped off the end because of a Microsoft bug.  The Window's Media SDK returns a rounded down length for how long the file is, but actually outputs a non-rounded length when decoding.

For CD burning to have perfect track boundaries, we need to trust the length when we ask, so that explains the difference.

Keep in mind that the difference is less than one millisecond, and doesn't affect the bit-perfect nature of the audio.  Also, this bug doesn't affect APE lossless in any way.

This probably won't be changed for version 10.  MC 11 will get the last millisecond out during conversion, but will still have to crop it during burning.

Hopefully Microsoft will address this in the future.  Thanks.

And

From any test I've run, WMA Lossless is lossless.

I iinstalled 10.1.150 and it gives me the nessage that 10.1.15 is too low and will not work correctly.  You must upgrade.  This is the same message that I got with version 1.1.149, I upgraded to 1.1.150 hoping it would be a solution.   I had to download the 10.1.150 upgrade the software said I had the latest version, as it does now when I try to upgrade.  Is there another higher upgrade?  Why do I keep getting this error message?

Hi,

there are still a few bugs: I'm not sure, if I can explain them to you with my english...

1.) EDIT: THIS BUG IS FIXED IN THIS BUILD SHAME ON  ME!!!

2.)

Play the smartlist "Top Hits"!

type something in the search box, so that only a few files of the "Top Hits"-Playlist are shown. But now click on "Next", to play the next song... The noxt song, which play, is not the next song, which is now shown, but the song which was BEFORE the search-process on the next position.

You have to click on "Stop" to avoid this.

Hi,

another bug, which I forgot to post yesterday:

I one tree view, I have all my albums with their covers:

when I click on one cover of an album, which has two or more cds, following happens:

http://www.nickschlueter.de/media5.jpg

the tracks are not sorted in the right order, but in the order of the track numbers. So there's the track one of the first cd and then the track one of the second cd and so on. But normally I have this sorting of the songs, in which all songs are listed in the right order of the cds:

http://www.nickschlueter.de/media6.jpg

Why couldn't this sorting be used in the thumbnail view?

Thanks and PLEASE excuse my english!

ASX parsing problems again.
« Reply #23 on: July 25, 2004, 06:17:43 am »

Back in MC 9.0 I reported a problem with .ASX files not being parsed correctly. The error message displayed is "Please select file(s) to play." This problem was corrected in 9.0.141, but is back again. Here is an .ASX file that is not working:

In an effort to track down Spyware and the like I noticed that the module "MMKeyHandler.dll" does NOT have any version information/company name/etc. as "Media Jukebox.exe" has -- this seems very odd to me.  Is there some reason why version information is not in this library?
---------------
After unloading Media Center, "MMKeyHandler.dll" will unhook from all apps EXCEPT if you have VB6 IDE running (and therefore it will not unload until you unload VB6).  What is the story with that?   ?

I am having 2 errors every time I start MC10.  The first is "Couldn't create Web Remote Listener" and the second is "Failed to start Remote Server."  Once I click on OK each time MC runs fine.  I have also upgraded to latest version, but still no luck.  When I upgrade (I've done it twice now) the error goes away for about the first 10 times I run MC, then it appears again.

Any ideas?
