Setting Saving Improvement Suggestion
« on: July 27, 2004, 09:17:46 am »

JRiver. Can you add a feature to some future version that allows one to save in a file, ALL the settings required to run and configure MC. I just lost a LOT of work in custom schemes because I had to reload my PC due to a virus. I will need to remember how the rules are used, etc.

Thanks,

Jack

MC's "Library Backup" will store any view schemes.

Matt,

I have restored the library backup before I reloaded the software. My schemes did not restore. I have restored the backup zip file and MC indicated that it restored sucessfully. The schemes on the left side of the MC screen (tree view) are the generic views. Am I doing something wrong? One of the other replys to my initial questions that lead me down the path thet these settings were in the registry.

I am confused. Can you help?

Thanks,

Jack

Matt,

I ment to say I backed up the library before I reloaded MC. The schemes I am talking about have many rules to allow better sorting. I am using MusicLobby and it makes it much more user friendly to use smaller amounts of data.

Thanks again for your help,

Jack
