« on: August 05, 2004, 01:26:05 am »

I have a pc with a cdrom scsi tower attached. I tried to rip 3 cds at one time and media center chocked and locked up ( media center not responding in task manager) I changed the device setting in media center is there some work around to get this feature working reliably

What sort of hardware are you running MC on?

Queries like yours should be supported with your system info (Click Help / System Info, and paste the contents into your post)...

Please send me a log of the rip process.

Turn on MC's logging for CD ripping by changing the value of this registry key from zero (0) to one (1):

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JRiver\Media Jukebox\CD Reader\Logger

Then just start up Media Center and try to rip three CD's at once. Then exit MC and find a file in the MC program directory called "cdripper.log" and email that to me. Remember that the log file is overwritten each time you start up MC, so you must send the file before restarting MC. You may want to "zip" the log file as it gets rather large.

Thanks!
