I just installed MC11 for first time... And I wanted to take a look to new improvements...

Animated Direct3D file browsing

What is this? How can I test/see it?

Quote
Pane auto-sizing

How? I dont find the option...

Quote
Basic image editing

Do you plan to work more on that? How fast?

Quote
Enhanced album grouping for pictures so pictures taken together get grouped without any user intervention

What is it? How can I access this grouped view?

For the 3D thing, Press Alt and 3 then click on a view cheme or playlist.
Must have dx9

The Pane sizing works very well.... I think it is on by default.,.. Not sure there is a option?

How do I know I have dx9 installed?

Following your procedure, images do not appear on the board... I can browse the library, but I don't see thumbsnail or anything new...

How do I know I have dx9 installed?

Go to your start menu (Window's start menu) and select Run...

Type in dxdiag and then hit <enter> (or click on "OK").

If DirectX is installed, a program will pop up and proceed to scan all the DirectX components.  If it's not installed, you'll get a Windows error complaining that it can't find the program.

On the first tab (the one visible at startup), it will also tell you exactly what version is currently installed.

Yeah, but what is it supposed to do exactly?

I pressed Alt-3 and heard the beep, and then selected the default Genre/Artist/Album viewscheme.  It doesn't look any different to me.  :-\  I have everything set to their defaults (i.e., the views are set to List), so I tried changing to Thumbnail, Album Thumbnail, etc.  Still, zippo.  Nothing is different than before. :(

By holding down Alt and 3 (not f3) and clicking a different scheme I get this:

Interesting.  I'm not getting that.  (I'm still on 11.0.50, but that shouldn't matter.)

I tried both "thumbnail" and "album thumbnail" views.  Also, how are you getting it not to display all the duplicates (album covers)?

It just doesn't show duplicates.... I didn't do nothin... It's a album view I guess...

And that view has been around since 45 I think...

Okay, yeah, you're right.  Album thumbnail mode removes the duplicates.  ::)  *slaps forehead*

Since I'm only seeing your static screenshot, that still doesn't answer my original question:  What does this Alt-3 mode suppose to do?????????

Guessing:  When you move the mouse over one of the album covers, that album cover zooms out and enlarges?

Press ALT and 3 and another view scheme. That will bring you back to normal.

I dunno.... I give up.

I've tried <alt><3> *release* <click on viewscheme> and also doing all three at the same time.  Nothing works. :( :(

Also, pressing <alt><3> in MC10 generates the same Windows default beep (i.e., "Windows XP Ding.wav").  Maybe that's an indication that MC11, on my system at least, is not properly handling the keyboard input. *shrug*

Oh, well, thanks for all your patience in trying to explain this to me!

Thanks  imjustagamer.

Amazing! It works.

But the "å" "ä" "ö" letters in words gives a blank which means that the famous swedish singer "Jussi Björling" comes up like "Jussi Bjrling"

I hold down alt and 3 until the beep and still holding those keys I switch to another view...
