Media Jukebox Media Editor
« on: July 27, 2004, 01:16:06 pm »

I am just getting started.  Everything OK until I tried to use the editor.  When I hit play, the line speeds through a 3 minute song in 10 seconds.  No sound comes from the speakers even though I was just playing the song in Media Jukebox.  I must be mising something.  Where can I get some 'step-by-step' on editing?

Thanks

There is a horizontal time scale. What does it show? That should be about 180 seconds.

What is the file format? Media Editor decodes files to uncompressed wave before opening them. Maybe it has a problem with that. Did you try other files?

Did you read Help in the program? It is not bad.

Thanks Alex B for responding.

I read everything, tried everything.  Nothing worked.  I uninstalled thje program, reinstalled it and now everything works.  Don't know what happened but I can now work on the stuff I want.

I have some old records (vinal plastic media for recording music in the last century) with scratches.  I was able to pull the songs in, edit out the scratches and I even patched a skip on one one my favorite oldies where the lyric was repeated later in the song.

Thanks
