REQUEST: DUAL IMAGES IN INFO TEMPLATE
« on: May 19, 2004, 09:09:06 pm »

Ive asked if this was possible with the current MediaJukebox before and was told that it is not.  Would it be possible to make Dual images possible in future releases of this great program? I run windows XP and if anyone else does youre probably familiar with "folder.jpg" standard which allows very nice storage for all music albums. I store my mp3's in folders in the following manner: Genre Folder > Artist Folder > Album Folder.
In each 'Artist Folder' I place a Folder.jpg which is obviously an image of the corresponding Artist. Within the 'Album Folder' I place another Folder.jpg which is an image of the corresponding Album Cover Art. What I would like is to be able to specify or bump up a directory to search for the Artist image, which is obviously not alongside the mp3 files. So basically I would like to see both the artist and cover art image simultaneously in an Info Template.  I imagine this wouldnt be hard at all. PLEASE PLEASE make this possible as it would make an already awesome program absolutely perfect for me :) :)

I imagine that this would involve a reasonable amount of work and I've never seen anyone ask for this before.  The fact that you had to bump the thread 3 times shows a lack of interest in such a feature.

This would be an awesome idea! also if they could also add the option to show "front," "back" and maybe the "disc" image in the info template. musicmatch shows both an artist and album image but i believe this is done via the internet.

i agree about adding the ability to display dual images.
I also agree that the abilty to define what type, name and directory the image is found in would be great.
It would be nice to see a front, back and artist info in a template sometime in the future.

hello,

what i am looking for is something similar.  i often have several scanned images from a given album, and would like to be have MC cycle through these photos whilst playing a track from this album.

i have been told by hit_ny that he has got MC set up so that if he has several jpgs in an album folder, MC will cycle through them if you go to the 'images' display window (you can still have MC and explorer pick up the front cover for use in thumbnails). this thread is here:

http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?board=3;action=display;threadid=21706

unfortunately i haven't been able to get this to work (i am using version 10.0.144).

does anyone else have this set up, or do we need a specific plug-in designed for this purpose??

thanks

nick.

thanks for the plug in - this is exactly the feature that i have been looking for, with one small issue.  ideally i would like just the j-pegs showing in the centre of the screen, and no text - the images would be on a black background in full screen mode and in the upper half of the display in playing now (without black background).  this would effectively be the same as the 'cover art' plug-in, but would show all art instead of just the cover..

thanks
