Playlist to play everything?
« on: November 05, 2002, 02:50:10 am »

Okay, this may have been asked before, but I couldn't really find any reference to it, so I shall ask it again.

I'm using MJ 8.0.388 right now, as I find 9.0 a little unstable. I was wondering if there is a way in 8 to build a playlist that will play every single track in a music library, and update automatically when new files are added to the library.

Just make a new Smartlist with no search criteria!

(Right-click on Playlists and choose Add Smartlist,
name it anything you want).

Won't that give the same result as selecting the Media Library view scheme (which will show all the tracks in the right-hand pane)?

Yea, I was hoping for something more than that. I wanted one that will update, even while playing as you add new songs, but I realized just how hard that would actually be to do, so I have figured it's not possible.
