tv recording: no channels in media scheduler
« on: September 06, 2004, 10:36:33 pm »

I used the scan feature in MC 11 to find all cable channels.
I can watch all cable channels in the TV tuner screen.
If I right click the TV display and choose 'channels' a list of all channels is available.

The problem is wanting to use Media Scheduler for PVR....
I start Media Scheduler and choose 'Add one-time task'.
Under Action I choose 'Start TV Recording'.  Under Recording Source, the dropdown list only offers Video Composite, Video SVideo, and Channel 3.    How can I make the other channels available to show up here?

It is a bug that is caused by Media Scheduler not being updated when we made some internal changes for MC 11.

We will fix it (of course we will  :)). Thanks for reporting it.

Cool.  I'll fill you in on the rest then....
I tried it with the channel 3 selected.  When the scheduled time arrives and the event fires to start recording...I get an error message.
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Program: Media Scheduler.exe
abnormal program termination

Might as well fix 'em all when you get to it.
Let me know if you need any specifics on hardware or whatever if you can't duplicate that part.
Thanks
