Tag problem in 11.0.92
« on: September 28, 2004, 05:08:48 pm »

I am trying to clean up some music files that my daughter created in WMP. When she created the files they ended up with an artist of Sarah's Mix and albumn art for the band P.O.D.
In version 10 I was able to clean up the artist names by using the update file information from file name tool. I then was able to update the albumn art from the internet.
I decided I would have a look at version 11 before I paid for 10.
In version 11 I was able to update the artist information and it looks correct in the tag information but when I try and update the image it looks for artist P.O.D. instead of what is in the tag.

Any ideas of what I can look for. As I said it worked beautifully in 10.

But, why can't we use MC's functions? If there is a problem in the Alpha, it needs to be reported, confirmed, fixed.

Using a 3rd party this or that is not helping to get the functions right in MC.

In version 10 it appears that it used the field labeled Artist in the columns to show to do the albumn art lookup. In version 11 it seems to use either the Albumn Artist or Albumn Artist(Auto) fields. You can fix these fields but it is a pain in the rear. I beleive it should be using the column labeled Artist since that is what shows up if you look at the tag info screen.
