Copying "other" settings to new system.
« on: September 29, 2004, 04:49:30 pm »

Is there a way to copy any of the "non-library" settings over to a new system?  I'd like to copy things like my setup for the top "playing file" bar, but this does not get copied with the library, so I'll have to write it all down and remake it.  I'd much rather copy this over directly.  Is there a transferrable file I could copy over that contains this sort of thing?

Thanks,

Larry

Assuming those other settings are stored in the registry, it seems like you could export those keys to a .reg file and import it on the new system after you installed MC.

This would be Wonderful  :)

especially if it included:
1- Top toolbar customizations,
2- Bottom toolbar customizations,
3- Favorites
4- I am sure I will think of others   ;D

Actually I'd like the flexibility to be able to backup/restore  these things seperately from the library itself, might come in handy.
