Problems with MC11 and Remote Desktop
« on: September 25, 2004, 04:58:01 pm »

Hi,

I have been using MC9 and MC10 on my main system for a while now and mostly control my media PC via Remote Desktop from a laptop. This has worked extremely well.

I recently upgraded my secondary system to MC11 and it works very well. However, on my main system I get drop-out every 10 -15mins but only if connected via Remote desktop.

Has there been any change in the threading logic or in the way the UI and the playback is coupled? I assume this will be hard to replicate but I wanted to let you know about this problem.

P4 2.8Ghz, 1GB Ram
XP-SP2, M-audio DIO24/96 with ASIO out

I have both versions installed and I will keep updating 11 but for the time being I will go back to 10 on this system for  day-to-day use.

Cheers

I have had occasional problems using TightVNC and MC10 as well. It seems that MC redraws screen using different techniques?
