« on: October 09, 2004, 03:13:39 pm »

I Have Been Working On My Web Site, Please Take A Peek

I Have Worked Alot On My Old Time Radio Site (OTR)

You Can Listen To Some Streams Of Some Shows

Media Center Plug-ins Are In A FTP Folder So When You Click On Them With The Browser It Should Take You To The Folder.

Like the new site King...one little question, though, are the plugins compatable with MC11 yet?  Tried using the coverart finder and it wouldn't save all the coverart.  But maybe I was doing something wrong (always a good possibility :)  ).  thanks  Bet

Yes

I think you may need to change your cover art folder, save it, then change it back.

then try.

this is because Media Center Does not write the default registry keys to the registry unless it is changed, and the program can't read it unless it is there.

I will in the future scrap all of the plug-ins in this folder, infavor of two new ones i am working on.

One Of Them Runs All The Time, And Checkes Out The Currently Playing Song To Make Sure You Have Cover Art, Lyrics, Notes, Genre And If Fileds Are Left Blank You Can Have It Fill Them In For The Song.

One of the nice things is you can set it to look thru users data that was submited to the server and select what data for that song you want or let the program do it.

the other thing is you can allow it to select the genre based on users data so lets say there was 100 users that had the song listed as Rock, and 200 had it Listed as Jazz, you can allow it to fill it in based on what most people have in this field for the Genre (if you wish).

The Other One Will Allow you To Scan All Your Files In A Batch And Basicly Allows You To Upload And Download info You Have And Info You Need.

This Is All Some Time Off But Here Is A Few Pictures

A Very, Very Good Smooth Jazz Selection, Just Set Back And Let The Ocean Hit Your Feet As You Listen To This Song On Your Own Private Island, Drinking A Good Beer.

Listening to: 'Silent Partner' from 'Against The Grain' by 'Acoustic Alchemy' on Media Center 11

Thanks, King.  Sounds perfect -I live on an island , though it's not exclusive (this is a big weekend for tourists and marathoners) ;D, but I do have a rather nice pond with a real  palm tree and  I do believe there is even some beer (Canadian, of course  ;D) .  Thanks again.  Bet

ftp://ftp.spartasoft.com/My%20Programs  when I click on this it does not open the page.  If I say open in new window it does.   I liked going to your HTML page better than straight to the ftp.

also says  error in line 29 char 2. error access denied

<!--

worked ok after i changed setting to enable folder view of ftp site.

bOni, sounds like you are asking for detailed instructions: so here goes my 2 cents (Canadian, of course  ;D )  Step 1) send the songs you want lyrics for to"Now Playing"  Step 2) open Kings Marvelous Plug In and 3) Push the button "submit/Find lyrics".   This method seems to be used for all his stuff (Thanks, King, for keeping it simple  ;) ) the activation code is the same for all the stuff too - and best of all  FREE!!!  I tried out the lyrics finder on some rather obscure stuff - and sure enough, the lyrics appeared.  Now I can holler along rather than just hummmmm.   Bet

Ps  welcome to the forum.

King another question...where are thelyrics stored and as what type of file?  Thanks  Bet

Good Directions

MC has a Lyrics field, and in a mp3 it is saved to the ID3v2 tags.

Other media may not support extended tags, and in that case it is stored in the MC database.

Is there a way to store the Lyrics inside the folder (similar to the cover art)?  My Zen gets picky about tags and so i like to keep the tags as minimal as I can  by keeping all the other stuff in the folder if I can.  Thanks  Bet

you can change what tags are saved to the files in Media center

options, tree & view, select Lyrics, edit, uncheck store in file tags. then it stays in the database.
