Buying an Ipod
« on: October 16, 2004, 01:27:06 pm »

I am considering buying an Ipod.  I know, what took you so long.  I currently have MC 9.1 and all of my music is in mp3 format on a dedicated computer just for music.  I also use Media Server to access my music through my Tivo and at work.  Everything works beautifully and is probably why I haven't considered buying an Ipod (I have a 256mb Iriver mp3 player).  But now I am at the point that I want to ALL my music with me . . .

My question is simply is there a faq or document that would help me smooth this transition?  I am prepared to upgrade to a later version of MC if necessary.  Media Center is a great product and I want to continue using it to rip, organize and tag my music because of the time and effort I put into learning how to use it (before I stepped off the beta train).

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I would suggest looking at MC 11 or at least MC 10 because there has been a lot of added functionality for iPod since MC 9.1.
