how do I keep MJ from auto-starting?
« on: November 01, 2002, 05:20:38 am »

After quitting MJ it seems to restart itself automatically
and I can't seem to find anything in the settings:options
that would control autostart.  Version 8, WinNT

thanks!

Post your sys info from Help>System Info here. I've never seen an option for autostarting the program itself so your installation might be goofy. Do the Backup License...Uninstall...Reinstall...Restore License bit.

Henry - I think I see the problem....your computer is not running :(

Look at your memory stats >>Memory: Total - 2096 MB, Free - 2096 MB.

See? Machine is not using any memory...so it must be shut off. ;)

Did u do the uninstall/reinstall bit?

One thing about NT4....It does not handle multimedia nearly as well as W2k & XP. I'm not saying this is the problem, though. But if I were you, I would consider moving up to W2k. Make sure you have latest of everything applicable.

FYI: There is a NT4 SP6a available as well as Adaptec ASPI v4.72 (U have MJ using internal version, still helps to have latest system version)
