Failed to load skin ‘PixOS’.  Reverting to default skin.

I still get this error a few times a week when starting MediaCenter.  I have the lastest verson of v10.  This problem occurs with other skins, not just PixOS.  I click okay, the program loads and then I reselect PisOS and it loads perfectly.

The biggest issue is that is pops up on an alert box that requires me to click Okay before it will actually load Media Center.  Most of the time when I start Media Center, I am not in the room with the computer (IRMan and Girder).

So Media Center does not start and therefore cannot start Play.  I have to get up,  stop what I'm doing in some other part of my house and go into my office and click Okay so Media Center can start.

This all defeats the whole purpose of all the automation I've done....

Even if the inability to load a skin at startup can't be fixed, can we get rid of the Alert Box that prevents the program from loading?

What version of MC are you using?

10.0.161 is the latest, available on this board.

Jim, I was running 159, I thought I had 161, downloading now and will let you know.   Was anything done between 159 and 161 that might affect this problem?

Jim,

The problem still happens with the latest version as shown below.

I pressed the button on my remote from bed this morning, no music!

When I got into my office where the computer is, MC had failed to load the skin again.

I just had this problem again with 11.098, the skin failed to load.

Even if it must revert to the default skin, it would be great if the dialog box telling me about the error didn't require me to click OKAY before it loads the program with the default skin.

I can't know there is an OKAY required when I'm in another room trying to start the music.

I just had this problem again with 11..0.106, the PixOS skin failed to load on startup, and a dialog box came up telling of the error with an OKAY button that must be clicked before it will continue with the default skin.

Even if it must revert to the default skin, it would be great if the dialog box telling me about the error didn't require me to click OKAY before it loads the program with the default skin.

I can't know there is an OKAY required when I'm in another room trying to start the music.

I have had this trouble happen with other skins, so it's not a PixOS skin problem.
