Just trying to understand more of the technical details of how the database handles syncing with portable devices.
Specifically, what changes are safe to be made locally and on the portable between syncs?

Scenario:
1) Sync ipod with MC.
2) Removed ipod.
3) listened to a few dozen songs on ipod and modified the song ratings.
4) In MC, did a File>Library>Import Media.  This found 10 new songs and added them to the library.
5) Ran "analyze audio" utility in MC on all songs.
6) Sync ipod.

Will the song ratings and play counts from the ipod update MC correctly, or not since the library was modified in between?

What happens if the rating of a song is changed on the ipod and someone else changes the rating of that song in MC on the PC prior to the next sync.  Who wins?
