Upgraded to Media Jukebox 8, Need Center 10
« on: November 10, 2004, 12:35:43 pm »

I have been using a paid version of 7.2 forever, so upgraded to 8- and it wouldn't convert my line-inned audia(saved in WMA) to MP3.
I think this is a bad marketing move- as I have no real interest in all the video, and extra stuff in Media Center at this time.

Downloading the trial version of Media Center 10- converting from WMA to MP3 is possible easily. So My question is, how do I upgrade from 8 to Media Center 10 without having to pay the full price for both? Can I get a credit for the 8, you cancel the registration number, I will delete Media Jukebox, or what?

Thanks

I guess I am retarded. Did the Media Jukebox come with a version of Media Center already incorporated into it?  Are the licenses the same for jukebox and media center?

Thanks.

Think this solves my question. You could make it clearer on your site so a zillion people don't have to ask the same question about coverting from WMA to MP3. Love your product.

not sure why you would want to conver from windows media format to MP3 since it makes the media file sound worse than what it already is, but there have been some changes with the windows media format that may make Media Jukebox that was programed over 2 years ago compatable.

also in the latest MJ8 there was some changes that effected the windows media format.

I can't tell you because i do not work for J River.

Thanks King Sparta. I am totally stupid. If I have WMA audio, and copy it onto a CD, it will still be unplayable on a normal CD player, right?
