MP3 File Conversions
« on: October 30, 2002, 03:11:00 pm »

MJ8 has the ability to convert from 128 Kbps to 320 Kbps.  If I do this to my existing MP3's, will the sound quality increase or have I lost the CD quality data forever?

I guess I would like to know if the .wav file can be reproduced by decoding an MP3 file.

Sorry.  Whatever was was lost during the 128k encoding process is gone forever.  You can certainly create a wav file from that mp3 but it won't be the original.
