Did you select reinitialize or rebuild database from iPod? If reinitialize, there will be no files on your iPod. If 'rebuild' then when you click on the iPod in the tree you will see the files on the iPod. These may or may not be the files that are in MC.

No. Although you can select the option to convert them to an iPod comatible file type during the transfer to iPod by selecting 'Options' in the Action Window.

sara,

Assuming you are running MC 10 or 11, when you are about to initiate file transfers from the Action Window, there is a button for 'Options'. Click on it and there is a checkbox for 'Enable conversion on transfer' or something similar. Enable this box and select the filetype you want to convert to and the conversion will happen during the transfer to iPod.
