Trying version 11, after trial of V. 10
« on: November 21, 2004, 01:16:01 pm »

Currently licensed with MC Version 9.

I used the trial version of MC 10 for the full thirty days, unaware there was a V 11 in the works.  Now I want to see and work with version 11 while it is in development, as I am certain I will be upgrading to 10 or 11 very shortly.  The problem I am having though is that after installing version 11 and attempting to run it, it states that my trial period is up (I am assuming it is detecting the version 10 time limit of 30 days is past, and thus not allowing me to try version 11).  Is there anything that can be done to work around this so I may try version 11 before making a decision as to which version to upgrade to?

if you try MC9 Or MC10 it has no effect on MC11

MC11 only tells you your trial is expired when you have installed it, used it and maybe uninstalled it.

it may also tell you this same message if the clock\date was changed when users attempt to use it beyond the 30 day trial period.

at least thats what i know or have seen.

there is also no way to allow you more trial time, unless your willing to format your drive every 30 days, i recomend you buy it.

Okay.  None the less, I can't give it a try and have never tried the v. 11.  No big deal.  I will likely purchase the v. 11 anyway if the interface and general structure has not changed to drasticaly from version 10.

Thanks for the reply!

the UI is about the same, some improvements

many bug fixes

data base is a bit faster, and it saves id3 tags much faster (because you don't have to wait on it any more)
