i can't figure out how to create apl files...

first off, when i create an ape cd image file i get an error screen about some files missing, then when i drag the cue to the make apl monkeys audio thing it doesn't make anything even though it says it read the file. What gives?

Assuming that you are not using MC to create the APE/CUE combination, the likely problem is that your CUE file needs to be manually edited to point to the correct APE before you run the MakeAPL utility.

Open a CUE file in notepad and see if the WAV entry reads "filename.wav". This needs to match your APE filename, so it ought to be something like "filename.ape".

Make that change, save the CUE file and drop it on MakeAPL. You should get the appropriate APLs created.

As for your error messages, more details about your workflow and the programs you are using are needed to diagnose.

Best,
Brad

If you are using MC to create your CUE file, then you need to manually edit the track numbers in the CUE so that 1-9 are two digits, like so: 01, 02, 03, etc.
