Sorry. False alarm.
I just had to wait a bit longer.
Problem was that Task Manager showed Media Centre to be Not Responding so I feared the worst.
I gave it more time and it worked.

Media Cente 10.0.173 on WinXP Home is locking up whenever I try to transfer files to an iriver h340 with latest firmware. I have to End Task from Task Manager. Even just trying to show files (Right-click 'Drop files here' -> show) locks it up after saying something like 'this hasn't been done before and might take a few minutes.

I've only just got the handheld recognised (sort of)
after renaming its volume label to 'JUKEBOX' and installing the portable device plugin (the last plugin in the handheld list (which incidentally displays 'Product: IPOD' when downloading even though the description doesn't mention iPod)



Any ideas
