Legal MP3 Sites
« on: October 28, 2002, 09:31:38 am »

Hi guys,

I've been reading the thread all about Emusic and the associated problems people have been experiencing - i.e. being terminated for having the cheek to use their service as advertised!

Anyway - I'm just moving flats and am having a lovely 1Mb line installed ..... I had been looking forward to getting going downloading like a looney ..... now I'm not sure whether to go for Emusic or not.

What do you reckon? what other services are there? obviously I'm not for one second suggesting that you reply with illegal / free sites!

Thanks

Some problems with tags-see my other posts-

Large catalogue

mp3 128 or wma .Or both if you want.

Most of the wma without  tag

Connection not that fast.

Stupid way to download and redownload

A 56Der5tsettYY kind of password to enter not only when starting, but during surfing the web

$ 25 a month unlimited downloads

You can take a week-end or night deal if you want to give a try

No one click full album download.

May not work well with MJ download  manager

Site slow to surf [ set your browser to your colors when programing your dowloads]

If you just put all the songs in one folder ,you may get a very big mess

Few songs impossible to get on mp3 [reverse to phone 56 kps moden to get them].

How legal is this site ?
Answer :200%

Again ,if you  want proff that labels and raia[?] do not understand a thing/

Few years ago this site had deal with the spanish R.. and labels.
Including local branchs of international labels like universal, sony and so on.

Now all of them would like to stop this deal ,but no way
Not long ago the big german label wanted to ban  this site  in Germany.

The court told them no way darling,i see your signature on the contract you and others  have with you.

If in US ,i would start by a week or a night. Not sure you get fast connection downloading from them

What's The Catch?..
Are They Going To Come To My House And Beat Me Up?
I've Spent The Last 3 Hours Downloading... I Spent My 1.50 (Whatever That Converts To) For The Evening And Have Downloaed 500 Songs (Not Done Yet) And Songs (Albums) That Both Mary & I Like..Most Of Which  You Guys Would Think Is Junk (Oldies/Rock/Pop). Emusic Lately With All Their Punk And Indie And Garage Stuff..Isn't To My Liking...
So For Me I've Died And Gone To Music Heaven
See You In The Next Life
