Where are the Advanced Rip Settings?
« on: December 25, 2004, 10:52:30 am »

I have a CD with some pops and clicks on it that I'd like to rip again using the Digital Error Correcting mentioned in the Help topics, but when I go to tools, options, devices and choose Advanced Setting I don't find that option.  The only ones available to me are Normal, Secure and Analog.  There is a Setting button there but it is shaded and doesn't work.  So how do I go about removing the clicks and pops?  Thanks.

Use secure mode and see if that improves the quality.

The docs for MC11 are old and will be updated when MC11 is released

OK.  Thanks.  One more question:

Will the equalizer work for adjusting the sound for something I'm going to burn or is it just for playing the music?

Thanks again!

Thanks King.  Will that work in MC10?  That's what I have and I'm not going to upgrade any time soon.  Thanks.

Have you looked at the options yet?

Ah, but if you have the DSP option for burning, why not set it and try it out?

Thanks GHammer!  Much appreciated, especially since my answer to your question was wrong!  I checked and I do indeed have a whole bunch of DPS effects I can play with.  Actually, since this is an old record transfered to CD, I ran the "analyze audio" feature which I usually don't use for whole albums and it changed all the things I was going to and did an even better job than I could have.  Go figure.

Thanks again and Happy New Year!
