Normalize and CD Burning
« on: October 26, 2002, 08:50:14 pm »

If I normalize the volume of a music file using media editor, then burn it to CD, will the burned track keep the normalized volume or revert back to pre-normalized levels?

Normalization is a permanent change of the data stream.  Can't revert.  It's also not a good idea if you're using a lossy compression scheme like mp3.
