Auto sync tried to delete files on startup
« on: April 19, 2005, 05:22:53 pm »

I am using the .243 build.

Plugging in the iPod starts a sync, and starts deleting files.

Where can I disable autosync? Is it in Tools/Options? I can't find it there.

Tools > Options > Handheld Options > Configure Transfer Options

1) Select 'Manually Transfer files'
2) Uncheck 'Auto-select tracks not in library from portable on auto-sync' (just to make sure

This issue is supposed to be fixed in 243. At least, that's the case for me. Maybe you should try and do a complete uninstall before installing 243. After the re-install, reset your devices (Tools > Options > Handheld Options > Configure Transfer Options > RESET), and see if MC keeps trying deleting the songs.

Got it, thanks!

.243 seems to be the best build yet for iPod. No problems so far.
