Runtime Error!
« on: January 26, 2005, 02:39:41 am »

Since almost a year i use MC for ripping and transfering MP3 to my iPODs, i did not ever had any problems! Now i get the following error when i plug the iPOD:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Runtime error!

Program:C:\programme\JRiver\Media Center\Media Jukebox.exe

The application has requested  the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact  the application's support team for more information.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please can somebody help me! It's a really frustrating thing!

Does this occur as soon as you plug in the iPod when MC is running? If so, what happens if you have iPod plugged in and then start MC?

What version of MC are you running?

This occurs as soon as i click on 'Handheld player' in the action window. Tonight i will try the other action (iPod plugged and then start MC), as you suggested, thanks! My version of MC is 10.0.155.

eitschp,

Nothing has changed in MC 10.0.155 for a long time. If you continue to have problems, perhaps your iPod database got corrupted somehow. To repair this, browse on your iPod (via Explorer) to a file on your iPod called 'iTunesDB'. Try deleting this file and then open MC. None of your files will appear on iPod until you right click on iPod and select 'Rebuild database'. Then all should be OK but you will not have playlists until you resync.

If you do this, you may end up losing your data on your iPod so only attempt it if this is OK.
