Hi all,

DVD playback doesn't work for me. The sound is playing, but the display remains black. If I play the same DVD using PowerDVD it works oké. I installed PowerDVD before MC and reinstalled it afterwards, but no difference.

Does anybody have a suggestion?

A handful of possible causes:-

1. Are you using dual monitors? I had the same problem using power dvd codecs when using two monitors.

2. Check your codec config. Is MC using your power dvd codecs? Check under Options->Playback->DVD Playback Settings->DVD Filter Listing. If it isn't, unistall all other third party codecs. If it is, then try unistalling PowerDVD and trying some other video filter (like ffdshow).

Your Video Card maybe old. Try using a high end Video card. This might solve your problem. However, PowerDVD is not an bad answer. What Video Card are you using?

Btw: I am using a Nvidia Geforce4 Ti 4200
