I'm using MC 11.0.168. I use MC only for audio.
I have created a number of custom view schemes. In the Edit View Scheme dialog, I set some to show up in theater view and others to not show up in theater view. However, it seems that a default listing by Genre\Artist\Album always shows up in theater view along with all my custom schemes. I'm not sure if this is a hard-coded default or if it's a result of the fact that my music files are organized using the Genre\Artist\Album directory structure. Regardless, I'd like to be able to disable this in Theater View so that the only thing I see are my custom views.
Thanks,
- Narendra
PS: On a related note, I can't wait to get more information on how to "skin" Theater View. I have always used Media Jukebox/Media Center to rip/tag/organize/manage my vast music collection but recently got into Windows Media Center Edition which my wife loves and finds much easier to use. However, Windows MCE 2005 does NOT allow you to define custom views and insists on organizing the library using a basic Artist\Album view or a Genre\Album view which is totally useless for large music collections. At the least I would want a Genre\Artist\Album scheme. So, my new strategy is to try and get MC 11 to be as "user friendly" as Windows MCE using a remote control and the Theater View. Theater View as it stands now is very cool but not quite there... All we need is a way to skin Theater View and a way to use the MCE remote under MC 11 for more than just the basic play/stop functionality (e.g. the Back button would be nice). I anyone's got the same issues, perhaps we can collaborate on a solution.
