Hi,

I've seen other discussions about MC ability to interact with the new Version 7 of TiVo software but I'm curious to know if and how I can get MC to play ".tivo" files downloaded to a PC from Tivo To Go.

Unsuccessfully been able to find an MPEG2 codec that plays these files correctly and would like this ability within MC as it's my prefered media playing app.

I am new to T2G as we all are, but I think you have to play them in WMP v 10.  Might want to check the Tivo Community boards, they have the more subversive Tivo types!   :o

Been there, done that. It would appear from discussins on the TiVo forum that as long as you have a media player that supports DirectShow and has a compatible codec (for MPEG2) then you should be OK. The question is if MC has or will provide such capability.

Would be great to have MC play .tivo files!

Even better if it could get them off the Tivo too!!
