Hi all,
I was looking at moodlogic and I noticed that they have opened up their databases to developers - any chance of incorporating this ability in media center???
From the mood logic website:
MoodLogic is now making its extensive music meta-database available to you to build powerful features and functionalities into your products. This one-of-a-kind music database was developed by MoodLogic over several years using the power of the Internet. Hundreds of thousands of people were asked through surveys on how they feel about songs and artists, and these answers were collected in a massive database. MoodLogic has processed this database using proprietary statistical algorithms and MoodLogic's music taxonomy experts found powerful correlations in the datasets. The result is the world's most in-depth music meta-database containing information on mood, tempo, genre, sub-genre, beat and others on the song level.
You can access MoodLogic’s database through a set of standard, easy-to-use COM components provided by the MoodLogic Component Suite. You can build innovative and intuitive features in your applications based on metadata that was never before available. There is no need to rely on the availability of ID3 tag information in music files, you can control the experience of your customers and ensure that they have a good experience with their music in your application no matter how the file is tagged.
What’s more, you also have access to a rich set of functionalities that come with the MoodLogic Component Suite. While you can use the metadata from the MoodLogic database, features that will change the way your customers experience music are available to you at your fingerprints. These advanced features include rich attribute filtering (canonical artist names, album, genre, mood, tempo, release year and more), Instant Mixing, Smart Mixing (making playlists based on advanced rule sets) and more. The integration of these functionalities is as simple as integrating MoodLogic COM components into your application.
