« on: April 04, 2005, 03:55:12 pm »

Has this been added as a feature yet?

Ripping and playing back mix CD's such as the "Back to Mine" series

I searched the boards, lots of chat but no definitive answer/intrsuctions that i could find

I use v. 10.0.155

Thanks

What do you mean by gapless CD ripping?

If you like to rip to single disc image file with a cue sheet (the whole CD in one file) it is possible with MC11.

If you like to rip separate track files and play them gaplessly it depends on the file format.

Monkey's Audio (APE), Ogg Vorbis (OGG) and Musepack (MPC) are gapless formats by design. You just need to enable the gapless playback in MC10 options. MP3 and WMA are not similarly gapless by design. MC tries to remove the gaps, but it is not perfect.

With mp3, choose a crossfade of about .3 - .5 secs. The gapis imperceptable.
