If you use MC for organizing and viewing your digital photos (and even if not), you may find it interesting :

(blurry and low res wmv video, sorry)

This shows the impressive potential of the Longhorn's graphics (Avalon), used in a media browsing context.
I don't know if this app will be packed in Longhorn when it will be out (2006).

By the way ....
What does "Animated Direct3D file browsing" mean?

(that's listed under the MC11 improvements in each new build post)

Listened to video and the application seems to include very advenced features :

- Similaritudes detection (?)
- Face detection (detects if there are human faces in the photo : ??)
- Face recognition (?)

I hope someone will correct me if I'm wrong... (I thought that theses sort of features were impossible, so I'm stunned)

Looks a lot like what the girl in Jurassic Park navigates on the Unix system... I won't be in a hurry to upgrade. I prefer lists with icons for efficiency. Eye candy is fun...for just about five minutes.
