are you importing playlists as well as media files?

I've noticed that if you try to import playlists that point to files which don't exist (or have been renamed) the import fails and MC crashes.

You can import media files not only through the import function but throug right-clicking on the items you want to import and choose Media Center --> Play/Add to Playing now.
